Are you ever REALLY ready for a baby?

There's a saying that "no one's ever really ready for a baby."

I was exspecting that having a baby would be harder than what it was. So I would say that I was ready. My son is super easy. I love being his mother I am very lucky!

Of course it will be hard, but after over a year of TTC to consider it, I think I'm ready. I have a stable and very happy marriage, we're both employed and my husband especially has his dream job that gives him 3 months paternity leave and gives us amazing health insurance. We live far away from both of our families but we're building a strong network of friends and we still have our families' support from afar (my parents are dying to be grandparents and my mom would fly out here to help when the baby is born). We have so much love built up in our hearts to give a baby. We've had lots of practice with my sister in law's cute kids. And I'm the oldest of 6 and grew up being a second mom to my siblings. My little sister literally called me "mommy Sarah" for the longest time because I was a teen when she was born and loved taking care of her. Again, I know having a baby will be hard, but please send me one!!! Give us a little one to love!!!

That depends. Emotionally? Financially? Physically? It's best to be all three, but realistically, I think you've got to pick two and that's the best you're gonna get.

I'm not gonna say, you'll never be ready, because I'm sure one day I would be ready. But I got blessed early, when I so am not.

I was an accident but my mom said I was a happy accident because she was ready. My parents were married, had a house and both had steady jobs. My parents were 28 and 31 when I was born.

People can be financially ready and they can think that their ready but having a child is really different. Not in a bad way. It's the most rewarding thing that I've ever done but it's not easy by any means. My first baby was so easy, very content and happy. He is 4 now and is still really easy. My 11 month old is the complete opposite. We wanted another baby so bad and we thought we were prepared. We are great parents and we thought that parenting was a walk in ththe  park. BOY WERE WE WRONG. I love both my boys but my baby is so different than my first. He is very demanding. Which makes it hard bc I work a lot, so he doesn't get the time with me that he wants and deserves. We were financially ready for another baby but we were not ready by any other means.

Maybe in your second baby you can say you are ready but if it's your first it's like you never know lol

I can 100% honestly say that I was/am ready. But then again, we had to go through the ringer to get pregnant... and you have to be truly ready for a baby to go through IVF
