Does anyone elses 8 month old knows how to drink out a cup?

I have to hold it for him but yeah my son does to (he's 8 months also!) He doesn't understand how to suck I've tried all different kinds of sippy cups with no luck :/ he was never bottle fed so I'm assuming that's why. I always just give him water from my cup or bottle cause he knows how to do it lol

Emily tries with cups and bottles so I bought her the miracle cup and she was so mad with the controlled flow! I've tried sippy cups with spouts and nipples and she wanted nothing to do with that and the straw cup she just chews on!

My son keeps trying to drink out of the cup I use to pour water on him during his bath, but I haven't tried actually giving him his own cup yet
