nexplanon removal experience
holy. crap. 
i only had mine in 6 months and had it removed today and it hurt SO bad.
apparently it had attached itself pretty well to the surrounding tissues and in turn, my doctor had to shimmy it around for about 10 mins and cut the tissue attached to it before finally getting it out.
she did offer more lidocaine shots however, i just wanted the damn thing over with and didn't want to make her stop to give me more shots.
i asked her if i had had it in the full 3 years if it would have been harder to remove and she said yes!! 😫
so glad it's done and over with and it's out!!
hopefully it doesn't bruise too badly but my doc said it probably will because it was so attached :(
PRO TIP- make sure your whole upper arm is numb before having it removed!!!
