How long did you bleed after giving birth?

How long did you bleed after vaginal birth? Was it awful or like a period? Light or heavy? Do you cramp?

I only bled for about 1.5-2 weeks and it was only heavy the first 5-6 days, with both pregnancies. I didn't cramp much with my first but I did cramp every time I breastfed my 2nd child for a week or two, but I knew that was just my uterus shrinking so I could deal with it.

For me it's very heavy for about a week to 10 days like a heavy period then starts to lighten up to where I can wear a thin maxi, after about 3 weeks I can wear a pantyliner  and it stopped completely around 5 weeks. You don't really cramp like pms but your uterus contracts back to its normal size, it's not painful but it can be uncomfortable here and there.

I bled 6 weeks after my first and 2 1/2 weeks after my second.

I bled really heavy for a day or two then it was just a normal period type bleeding for 4 weeks that tapered off to spotting. By week 5-6 it was off and on spotting that turned to pink tinged discharge. All said and done 5-6 weeks.

Mine was heavy and lasted almost 2 months, kept coming back and going away during the third month but I also had third degree tears from hole to hole. Hopefully this time it takes less time to stop bleeding and I don't tear.
