RSV awareness please read-especially FTM's with babies in daycare

Jessica • My rainbow baby was born on 7/25! 1 MC in May of 2014. PCOS sufferer, conceived without medication, I used plexus!! :)
Some of you may have read my post about my son Liam (3 MO) in PICU, I'm glad to say that on day 3 they have downgraded us to Q4 but we're still here!! So my son caught the RSV virus at daycare, it's common and in most babies can be monitored/controlled at home. For my son with a hole in his heart or for children with other health conditions, it could have been fatal. Being a FTM, I almost dismissed the seriousness of his cold like symptoms. It wasn't until he was in respiratory distress (breathing rapid/labored breathing, coughing fits, wheezing) that I called his doctor trying to make an appointment. Upon calling them, they asked me a series of questions and determined I needed to take my son to the emergency room then. They quickly admitted him to PICU, and I've never felt more naive in my life for not taking his early symptoms like a stuffy nose/cough more seriously. If your child is in daycare especially please take time to educate yourself on RSV, it can run rampant in those places and effects every child on a different serious level.
