When will your baby look like you?

Question

Darling daughter is 6 months now and doesn't look half Indian by any means. I've gotten the "Oh, you're the mom?" (Aka not the nanny) comment quite a few times while out and about. The subject is another question I've been asked by many. If my husband is with me, people can tell, but when it's just her and I, I get some strange looks. She's starting to show signs of a personality like mine, but looks all like her daddy. Are there any other mommas feeling this way?

My son looks NOTHING like his father or me, I feel so bad sometimes because when visitors come over his father would be like "he looks just like me right! "Lol But he doesn't! Hubby is dark skinh and i am kind of caramel skin color, my son is very light skin. Does not look like daddy or me, but looks JUST like his grandmother (From father side)

I thought my son would look exactly like daddy,  but turns out he does look like me a little bit and he got my bald head (when I was a baby).  Daddy was born with a full head of hair so I thought he would too, but nope. He's 6 months old and just now growing peach fuzz lol so I guess time will tell who they ultimately look like!

I have brown hair and olive skin and I was expecting my baby would take after me because my husband has fair skin, lighter hair and lighter (greenish/hazel) eyes and my genes would be dominant.

Wrong!

Our daughter has his skin tone, maybe dirty blonde hair, and blue eyes that don't seem to be darkening. I do not look like I'm her mother at all. My dad and his side have fairer skin and the recessive genes are showing up in my daughter.

It's alright though, she's a cutie even if she doesn't look like me 😉.

Yes I know how you feel, I go through the same thing my daughter is exactly like my husband and really white and I'm  more olive skin tone so yes people ask me if I'm the nanny

Lol, my daughter doesn't look like me or her father! She has light brown hair with blonde streaks and we both have black hair. Her complexion is several shades lighter than ours. She has his fingers and his mouth. That's it. I had a C-section, if I didn't witness her come from my body, I would have denied her! 😂😂

My daughter's dad is Cherokee Indian, so much in fact that he even registered, and he was born on the reservation here in NC. She looks so much like him it's crazy! She had my dirty/strawberry blonde hair, fair skin and my blue eyes but that's it! When she was first born her hair was super dark brown and her skin was Indian tan... But turns out her skin was that color cause of having jaundice!

My son is a spitting image of my husband. I get told by strangers that on a regular basis when we're all together in a store or restaurant. The best is that even my own family says, "well he has your ears..."

It's crazy cause we carry them for so long, go through all the pain of labor and birth to have someone that looks so much like their dad! Most babies change in the first couple of years, so I wouldn't worry too much. Maybe she'll always look like daddy, but have the personality of mama.

Everyone says she looks like her daddy even she has his habits and reactions to stuff likes dislikes.. so basically the more we know her the more we find out she is a xerox of my husband
My husband teases me a lot because of this... just the other day he was saying that "look her hand just looks like mine she is my mini me"
