BOY HELP!!!!!

So there is this guy that I really like. He can get really awkward sometimes. Last night was homecoming and he gave me mixed signals. First when he got there I told he he looked nice. He replied with " you look really pretty". When ever I wanted to dance he would come with me, he told me he wasn't a big fan of dance. But he did it anyway. Some how we ended up slow dancing and it was my dream come true. At some point while slow dancing I said to him I think you're really cute. He smiled and said thank you. Than there was a pause and than he said " am I supposed to say something back?"  I laughed it off, but it kinda hurt. Some of his girl friends told me that he probably likes you but he is super awkward. I need all the advice I can get.
