Clomid success stories? Any/all info welcome!

So I found out last week I did not ovulate on my own last cycle. I was crushed..but after $1000+ for ultrasounds, hsg and semen analysis all were normal - I'm hoping we can finally have success now that we have an answer. I only know 1 woman to have ever taken it - & it worked quickly for her - we both have 1 child already but they are each 10 years old (so it's been while..I'm almost 30 though..I had my son at 19 almost 20 with my now husband of 10 yrs next year).

Just wanting to hear a variety of experiences with clomid. I am most likely going to start it this next cycle..and I'm terrified of side effects (although I would put up with quite a bit to finally get a bfp after so long - 20 months)..and also very scared it will not work.

This is my last option locally...I live in a rural area so there are only ob/gyns..a fertility dr comes into town but only 2x month so I'm sure that waiting list is ridiculous..but I'm 1.5 hrs from a major city so I would likely go there..if anything..and that will add up fast.
