registry?

what are the 'must haves' of a baby registry? I'm having a hard time because I'm the type of person who hates asking for things, so everything I think about I'm like 'why would someone else buy this for me' lol I'm a very independent person, it's just hard to imagine. but yeah what did y'all do?

I felt the same way, I didn't have a wedding shower because I felt like why should someone buy me stuff just because I'm getting married? But I made a baby registry and put everything on it, I told myself that even if I bought it myself atleast by being on my registry I would then get the 10% back (babies r us). And then it turned out al the big stuff was bought for us!

I put everything I needed and got everything I needed.. so I would do the same lol.

I put anything I would need for baby on my registry.  I'm not expecting people to buy the large expensive items but they're on the registry so I can use a completion discount to purchase them down the road.

I was the exact same way. I sucked it up and put everything we needed. I just told myself to put things that were reasonably priced so I could compromise my need to be so independent 😂 and it worked! All the big things I was worried about was bought by my boyfriend's mother and now I no longer have to worry about what my baby girl will need. So yeah, just go for it!

I put everything I needed and wanted for our baby boy. You'd be surprised what people will buy..and people will buy big items in groups to. Whatever is not bought, my husband and I will then buy.

Must haves that I registered for:
Crib, diapers, wipes, swaddle blankets, car seat, stroller, oxiclean stain soaker (the best, natural, chemical free stain remover), teether, bottles if you plan to bottle feed, and my favorite the Bumbo Multi seat. Not the original bumbo. The multi seat is for babies all the way up to toddlers. My son loves it and we have no need for a highchair because of it. 
I put other this on the registry. Things I wanted, smaller fun things. People don't have to get you the stuff but sometimes they like to get you the fun stuff or even smaller stuff.

Some of my favorites were the rock n play. We used it a lot! Sleep sacks are amazing.
