confusing relationship status

I'm 17 and the guy I'm talking to is 20.. Okay, so we spent a whole week talking then spent this whole weekend together. I will admit, we done some intimate things but that's okay with me cause I really really like him. But, I've recently been told that he used another girl that I know for all the sexual things he wanted then he left her. 

All my friends keep telling me to drop him and move on but I've always thought this guy was cute so I can't just drop him.. He always tells me how much he misses me when he drops me off at home, and he ever took me around his friends and introduced me into them. No, he hasn't asked me out which is why I'm confused. I can't tell if he's using me or not cause he always asks for my consent to everything we do but I don't know.
