How do I break it to religious parents?

So my boyfriend and I are pretty serious. The topic of living together has definitely come up, and with me going to college in a few months, we've talked about it a lot more. We've been doing long distance for almost a year. It's had its challenges, but definitely made us stronger. We want to live together maybe after a semester or two of me being in college. The thing is, my parents are very religious. It's not about wanting their approval, but more just them not freaking out. My biggest fear is them cutting me off financially and being ashamed of me because of my decisions. How do I have that conversation with them? I know I have about a year or so until I need to have that talk, but I want to start thinking about it. Thanks guys!
