This is a question seeking that both parents have been stable, active participants in their child's life. They are drug free and have no record of abuse towards children.

My daughter's father does. We aren't together and we're great friends. We don't have a custody agreement. He sees her everyday. We work together to make sure she's ok. I'm pretty much the one who takes care of finances right now though.

Of course. Didn't they both make the child? They should have equal rights, absolutely. It was my understanding that they already had such rights.

Yes. It's sad when a woman keeps her kids away from their father because she has personal issues with him that don't involve the kids or she's just doing it out of spite to him. It's one thing if the dad isn't stable or doesn't have a job, but it's another when there's no reason for him to not have them in his life other than the fact that the mom doesn't want him involved. It's his child too

Yes, absolutely. If the parents live close enough, one week on and one week off could work as well. Children deserve to spend equal time with their children.

When did they not have equal rights?
I can see if a mom holds their kids hostage away from their dad as not equal and just awful..but a judge would set that straight.I seen some horrible with holding their baby cause he has a new gf etc.It just hurts your children.
(Except in abuse cases)
