lots of birth stories... no poop?

Question

Ok so I've read that pooping during labor and delivery is common. But I've read dozens of birth stories on here and nary a mention of pooping during delivery or any place not in a bowl. Do most women make it to the toilet?

I know I should not care that my husband is going to see all the gory details of birth, but I've never so much as farted in front of him so I'm really hoping I don't poop in front of him and we can keep this whole charade going a little while longer.

I did with #1 which I didn't know about until my fiancé kindly told me 😂 he said it was like a patě squashed under my ass until the midwife moved it 😂 
Now #2 & #3 were water births and thank god I didn't because having a 💩 floating around the pool would NOT be good 😂

Pooping is a sign that your pushing correctly. At the time you won't even care plus they clean it up so fast you wouldn't even be able to tell

I was soooo scared to poop during my labor, even though my fiancé and I fart and go to the bathroom while the others in there for showers or what not lol. I told my nurses I was scared and she said if I did she wouldn't even tell me. She said she never tells the ladies because they need to focus on the baby and not that they just pooped LOL. They'd just wipe it and continue. 😂💩

I had a water birth with my first (a floater 😳) baby two I had epidural had poo on bed squashed 😳 the rest of my children I made sure my body was ready for all the action so took some calif fig syrup (got induced with all my kids) it helps give you a bowl movement so your ready and clear before birth. I'll do be doing this again with my last baby (no 8)

The hospital where I had my son offers enemas to women in labor specifically so they don't have to worry about pooping while they are pushing out their babies! I did it and I was so glad! But I ended up having a c-section anyway so oh well!

If you're pushing in the heat of labour you will not stop so you can waddle over to the toilet and poop! If you tried that it's pretty likely your baby would come shooting out after it 😅 proper pushing feels exactly like a bowel movement anyways, which is why so many women do poop. I hear ya with not farting in front of each other or using the bathroom when the other is in there, we are the same. But you guys will just have to be prepared for the possibility that the charade will end.

Haha I pooped on the floor 😂. My partner just scooped it up with some toilet paper and that was that. 10 minutes later he was pulling me off the toilet (too late lol) so they could catch a baby. No one cares about a bit of poop during labour
