My advice - do not make the commitment to be with someone physically/live together unless it progresses you forward in what you are trying to achieve in life, and it will either be a profound and up beat learning experience, and or there is a ring and proposal you want to accept involved.

Every relationship takes work, and working through things,... but in my mind, the fuss of moving in together isn't worth it unless there is an understanding of commitment and long term marriage as part of the agreement.

Sorry, it wouldn't let me type out an explanation. We've been dating for one year, known each other for three. It's kind of hard to be away from each other but now we have the opportunity and he says that it's a big step and he thinks we still have stuff to work on. I'm confused and a little irritated because I'd have to transfer schools and I need to know ASAP. No kids, I'm 18 and he's 24.
