Is my doctor normal

I'm 37weeks w/ #3and my doctor just told me I'm term and if I go into labor she's not stopping me, then she went on to tell me a few ways to induce myself to get contractions started (sex, nipple stimulation ect) is that normal for the doctor to suggest I try to go into labor??? I thought she would push to stay pregnant until due date then maybe try the myths.
