Newborn items?

As a first time mommy, what things should I buy for my newborn baby? I've got a crib, a changing table/station, and a couple clothes so far. I've been told that we should wait for other things because I can get most of the things baby will need at a baby shower, but my anxiety is saying "but what if no one gets you and the baby anything," or "no one is showing up." So I want to make sure just in case something goes wrong I know what to go buy. Lol. Thank you ladies 💕
