MIL trouble

So for Halloween I took my daughter up to my side of the family since they rarely see her. Well my mother in law and I guess my husbands side of the family is mad at me because they didn't see her on Halloween and because we had plans to see her side of the family, when I told her that my sister invited me to spend Halloween with her. So it really makes me really upset that they would get so upset because I took MY daughter to see my side of the family.
