I am a Public health nurse. It is our recommendation that anyone that will be around baby for long periods of time, should be vaccinated. Mom, dad, babysitter. Etc.

Yes. He can be an asymptomatic carrier.

Made my hubby go get one. He knows it's easier to just get a shot than have me nag at him.

Does the hospital require him to have it to be in the delivery room though?

I'm not pressing my husband to get the tdap (I got mine) but everyone in our house will have had the flu shot before new baby comes.

My Dr told me that as long as the mom gets it, the baby will be protected (especially if breastfeeding)
