Shaving Woes

I'm 22, Ive been shaving down there since I was 17. Lately after I shave it doesn't feel as smooth as it used to, and the hair grows back quicker. It does this whether I have a brand new razor or not. I've tried letting it all grow for a couple months and then shaving it, but it doesn't help. Have I just been shaving it for too long and it won't go back to how it was? I expected this to happen, but not yet, I'm still young as fuck lol It's just really frustrating because I like a smooth kitty kat and when I don't have one it's harder to cum or get horny. I don't like the pricklyness, it's a huge turn off.
