Horror Movie Scenario: Sacrifice group member or try to save them?

Ce

[The options are all taken from real movie scenes and this may be a little dark for some people.]

We've all seen the same scene in various flinch-flicks. A group of two or more people are avoiding aggro by hiding somewhere, be it a bedroom closet or a sewage pipe in the middle of nowhere, when a (usually unrelated to the protagonist) child starts to cry uncontrollably or is just making too much noise to avoid attracting the killer/zombies/creatures/clowns/whatever that is searching just beyond their shared space. Someone always tries to hush said child but it usually either ends in character deaths or at least a cheap jump scare.

For the sake of a new discussion pretend this is your situation: You're hiding somewhere (the woods for example) with a young child (non related) who is being too noisy and is attracting the danger to your hiding spot. The group is frantically trying to silence the child via covering their mouth, quietly trying to talk to/hold them, etc. but nothing is working and the danger is honing in on your location fast. Keep in mind there may also be other children in the group who are being quiet and cooperative.

Poll☞Do you

A. Make a run for it with the child, hoping to escape to safety (the rest of the group may or may not follow you).

B. Throw the loud child out of the hiding spot, hoping that will allow you and the group to live/escape.

C. Try to silence the child the best you can, allowing danger to find the group and possibly kill someone if not everyone.

D. (Most controversial?) Kill the child there and hope your now silent location is enough to cause the danger to lose track of the group and leave, allowing for an escape.
