copper iud??

So I got the copper iud last week, and I'm now off the prescribed pelvic rest that follows and my bf and I have had unprotected sex like three (?) times since. It was pretty great!!! But also I am so freaking paranoid that something might happen, cos I read (big mistake) all the things that could happen with it, and one person said it could fall out without you noticing. And then you could obviously get pregnant. Anyone had this happen? Do you recommend doubling up protection with a condom too? Please don't tell me horror stories, just advice. Also anyone else feel this kind of paranoia? It's like, I want to just trust that it will be fine, and not use condoms, cos otherwise, like, what's the point of even having gotten it, you know? But I am still very nervous every, like get your ingredient out of me!!! Lol
