Spotting??

Hi question my period isn't due for another 9 days from today and I went to the bathroom and wiped to see some light red/pink spotting only on toilet paper put on a panty liner..however this had NEVER happened to me as I don't ever have break through bleeding or spotting!?? What could this be? Glow said mid cycle bleeding could be a sign of ovulation however don't think I would be ovulating 9 days before my expected period... What could this be not on birth control married kind of trying but no pressure if you know what I mean... Please leave your thoughts!! :-) thanks

Another thing my cycle was late last month which was out of the norm would it resort back to its original length this month meaning I should start in about two days?? Ugh all confused!!
