Question

Why isn't my cervix opening. I'll be 39 weeks Monday, getting induced on my due date . why am I not dilating,? My doc said my cervix isn't opening so she's inducing me on my due date and said most likely gonna get a c-section since it isn't opening. But why isn't it opening or dilating :,(

Every cervix is different.  There's nothing wrong with not being dilated yet.  Maybe baby wants to stay inside for 2 more weeks!

Have sex. The semen helps soften and open it. Also, you don't have to be induced if you don't want to. Don't let her push you. I didn't open until 40 weeks. And delivered 40 weeks 5 days. Don't let her push you into anything.

Wow thats a pretty crazy reason to induce.. at 40w baby wasn't even engaged, still floating above my pelvis. Water broke midnight the next day. If you were 41w and still not dialated id understand but geez she seems to be in a hurry. A fair few inductions end in c-sections i believe coz the body wasn't ready yet. Make an informed decision, i wish you the best of luck. The last few weeks are sooo hard but itll be worth it i promise :)
