birth control question?

Hey ladies! I am taking a 28 day Tri-Sprintec and I missed Saturday of week 3. I just realized this on Wednesday of my period week. Is this okay? I know the white ones are inactive so I don't want to take an active one right now, but it's okay to just miss one and then get my period as normal, right? Just needing some reassurance or advice. I'm only having sex with my boyfriend so if we need to wait we will, we just wanna be careful. :)
