Baby shower for baby number two

I personally hate this. How do you feel about baby showers for your second baby? I don't mean with 5+ years between I'm talking maybe one or two and someone wanting another. To me its selfish, and I personally just think it's desperate. No hate, I am not judging I personally just hate the thought.
