how far do they let you go?
So my due date is the 6th. Sunday! So close, but Monday I was only 1cm dilated. I lost a small chunk of mucus plug yesterday if that even means anything at all, but I was expecting to have my membrane sweep Monday too... I don't know if she did it or not at this point. She didn't ask me if wanted it and the midwife I saw last week because mine was out said it would be an option to me...
Anyway, my midwife has also delivered all three of my best friend's babies. All three she offered to induce them because my best friend wouldn't even dilate for two of them. One was at 40 weeks and the other two 42 weeks...
But she is against inducing me. And I'm not sure why. I didn't want to be induced but she stressed very much Monday that she wanted me to go into labor naturally because the risk of a c section was too high for me to be induced....
I don't know why. My pregnancy has gone (medically, doesn't feel that way lol) amazing... my blood pressure is perfect and I've only gained 10 pounds which she is very happy about since I'm overweight. She says I've done really good. I do have a hip problem. One that has made me worry about having a c section because they are turned inward. She did not seem worried about it before. So now I'm really wondering why I could be at risk of having a c section if induced...
does anyone understand that? I just wonder how far she wants me to go before bringing it up.
Edit: I have to add that baby is fully dropped and turned right. Face to my back and all...
