is it bad to what to have kids at an early age?

So, I'm 23 and want to be a mum really bad, but I don't have a job and I'm currently studying. Nearly all my friends are either having babies, trying to have kids or are married or getting married. Is it bad that I'm jealous because it's what I want? Is bad that I get disappointed when I don't end up pregnant?

My partner and I have been together for 5 years and he won't let us have kids u till we are financially stable and I have a job...I feel bad for being jealous that others have a great life and mine is somehow falling apart due to other family reasons.

I'm just looking for some advice

You've clearly answered your own question. It's ok to be jealous and want the same things they have but a baby isn't just about you. You have to make sure you can give your child the best possible life. Not every situation is perfect and you by no means have to be rich but at the very least a stable income would definitely help as kids aren't cheap I can assure you. Accidents happen but going out of your way to make an accident happen is not healthy especially as your partner wants to wait for the right time. Both parties have to be on board. Just because all your friends are doing it doesn't mean you need to "catch up". It will all happen for you in due course when you guys are both truly ready

I don't think it's about age at all, 23 is a perfect age to ttc and have a baby. But like you said, being financially stable is an important goal to be working towards first. That being said, there is also never a "right" time to have a baby. Working towards being financially stable is so important, but I wouldn't put your family life on hold for a decade while you straighten it out. I had my first baby at 21 and am pregnant with my second at 25, so I really think age isn't important (once you're an adult anyway lol) good luck!!

Your partner is right in wanting to be financially stable but I understand where your coming from too. I would try occupying yourself, keep yourself busy until school is over. Maybe visit your friends that have babies so you can get your baby fix that way.

Do what you're doing, study, and get financially stable. That's crucial when having a family. You sound smart. It's okay to be jealous and to want a family of your own, just make sure you can support yourself and baby. Age is irrelevant. I was 22 when my baby was born.
