Checking for dilation.

I have my 37 week check up today and although I'm scheduled for a c section at 39 weeks I'm curious if the OB will still check for dilation. Also will the fact that I'm having somewhat painful braxton hicks contractions change that if not? Thank you for any feedback! ☺️
