-Has anyone left the hospital without fully naming their baby???

Question

Do they even let you leave?? Lol we cannot for the life of us come up with a middle name for our baby..and I can't decide on if I want to give baby his last name or mine..all we have is a first name. 
What do they do if you don't have baby's name picked out? Do you just fill the paperwork out at home and send it in or what?? If anyone has any experience, let me know!!!

My friend (in San Francisco CA) ended up picking a name totally from scratch in a one-hour deadline by the hospital!

I would ask your hospital! Just call and ask what their policies are.

I live in california and when we couldn't name our daughter they gave me an option to go home, pick a name and come back in 3 day's!! But we didn't want to go through that so we picked a name 15 min before they discharged us!

It depends on where you live. I know here when parents dont name their kid in the hospital the child remains BABY BOY (last name) or Baby girl ( last name). Where i live the child's name isn't even their name until they leave the hospital

I believe in the US you must have a name before you leave the hospital bc they send in all the necessary paperwork. At least that's how it was when I gave birth. My cousin couldn't decide on a name & I know they told her she had so many days before she was discharged but the baby had to havbe a name.

In the us they will not let you leave without naming your baby but I think you have some time to change it a few weeks later
