Does the birth control affects your libido?

Hi everyone, when I was on birth control I notice a HUGE drop of my libido. I just didn't feel like having sex anytime. And when I super turned on, I wasn't wet enough. Now I will be back on the pill... (after having a terrible experience with a no hormone method) and I am wondering how it will be. Does the birth control affect you too?  Sorry for my english, I am from Brazil.
