Nipple Stimulation to bring on labor??

Question

Has anyone tried nipple stimulation or using a breast pump to jumpstart labor? How long did u pump each breast and how soon did you progress?

I'm 39+4 with no progress at all. A few nights ago I pumped each breast for 15 min. Again the next day. Skipped yesterday (found out still no progress) but started back up tonight and feeling crampy after the first set of pumping.

Update: I definitely think it's working. Had mild cramping off and on at night. Woke up to the same. I'm excited to get home and pump again! Getting closer to show time!!! 😁😁😁😁😁

I used nipple stimulation for two of my babies it worked for me is both times I went in labor a couple hours afterwards

It's hard for me to do it for very long, I've been walking and doing lots of squats trying to bring on labor. Good luck to you!!

I've read that sometimes sexual nipple stimulation works better if the pump isn't quite doing it.... If your hubs/partner is up to it. And semen can sometimes help soften the cervix. So ya know, sex it up 😉

This might sound super silly... but I feel nothing when I try to do it. They aren't sensitive or anything...literally don't feel a thing. I have inverted/flat nipples so do you think that's why? Sex and walking isn't working for me either, not even to soften.

I used nippers stimulation for about 3 or 4 days, water broke on due date.
