Is this a cast?

This is a stupid question but my boyfriend just sent me this picture and said he broke his arm but I feel like he's just saying that to make me freak out and in reality it's his glove from work (works in a factory).. can someone tell me if he actually broke his arm and if it's a cast or not? I've never broken a bone so idk what one looks like.

It doesn't look like a cast to me... unless it's just a temporary one.

I don't know... I fractured my ankle and I was put in a "temporary cast" which was a splint and it looked nothing like that. I switched to wearing a boot and then a cast, the cast looks nothing like that also.

It could be a sleeve over a temporary cast but it doesnt really look thick enough to be anything more then a sleeve

I broke my are 3 times in my life. It doesn't look thick enough to be one, but it could either be a horrible doctor who did it, or a temporary one
