pregnancy question

i'm due in 2 weeks, went to labor & delivery because i was having contractions. both doctors said I was only %50 effaced and almost not even dilated 1 cm. this is my first pregnancy so i'm confused as to if I will be ready in 2 weeks... what do you ladies think
