Hi my name is Lauren I'm 13 years old and I just started my first period yesterday. I have a pet bunny named Buddy. I'm the last one of my friends to get my period. I don't have a boyfriend. Please of you have any tips on anything please share them. Thanks!

Some times cramps are killer. Hormones can act but and please don't have sex till your 100% ready. Heating pad, Tylenol and I love chocolate when I'm on my period

Hello!! I'm 14, so not much older than you. I got my period when I was 12 or 13- nothing wrong with that!! As far as advice-
-don't worry about it
-take care of urself if you get cramps
-don't wear tampons to bed, only during the day
-tampons actually aren't scary and are quite useful!!
-learn your body. every woman's period is different.

I'm 14, Freshman in HS and I had my first period earlier this year in August...I'm a late bloomer just like you :) You're not alone!!!

All the advice I can give you is; stay active, your second period probably won't come until a few months later(mine still hasn't came back), keep pads with you and extra pair of underwear, mood swings will be more regular(not for everyone, but for me, it's bad). I think that's it, I will probably think of more, until then I'll post again when I remember.

Other than that, WELCOME TO WOMAN HOOD. And besides, I think it's better start later than earlier. :)

I have found (and learned the hard way) that even when the cramps get super painful (if you are cursed with painful cramps which not everyone is) to always keep moving excercise is the best medicine for period cramps! It's going to be an emotional rollercoaster. Definitely take the time to get to know your body and always ask questions if something is strange even if it sounds silly to ask. Periods are the majority of the rest of your life. But you will survive them! Stay strong! And good luck on your journey of life 😉
