black eye, crying?

I don't go out anymore, so really there wasn't much need of looking in the mirror and examining my face (I've been kinda depressed) anyway, I just looked in the mirror and it looks like I have a black eye, its dark right around around it, and red. It looks like a bruise, but I know I wasn't hit. Just wondering if it's possible to give yourself a black eye from crying uncontrollably?
