We got engaged over Skype while he was deployed,  he did get down on 1 knee....his hurt one lol.  The ring was delivered 3 days later,  i didn't put it on till we could Skype again.  Love that man. 
We've been married a bit over a year now,  Chaplain on base married us in between deployments.

Real engagement he proposed while swimming with the dolphins in Cozumel with the same ring my dad proposed to my mom with 25years earlier. My mom, dad, and grandma were up above watching on deck watching. We got married after a 2year engagement, and having a baby boy right after our one year wedding anniversary!

My fiancé proposed to me in a parking lot of a diner.. He didn't have a ring, but he said he just couldn't wait. He got me a bouquet of roses, a personalized jewelry box and a personalized necklace. He decided to let me pick out my own engagement ring.

My husband and I had been best friends for 3 years, he was stationed in Japan and came to visit me when he got back to the states. Shortly after, I moved from PA to NC with him. While we were in PA I was unaware that he went and picked out a ring. When it was ready, he had my mom pick it up and send it to us. He came home for lunch one day, got the mail, came in the house and said, "here's your ring, pick a date. Can be the last week of Septmember or first week of October. Love you" and went back to work. Sounds crazy but that's us lol. I still joke that he didn't give me the option to say no to him...he says he was just making sure he didn't let me get away. That was in August, we got married in October and he left for Iraq in Jan. He we are, 10 years later, still crazy in love, and with our third baby boy on the way. We did a quick JP wedding due to him deploying and I have no regrets at all!

We mutually spoke the desire to marry each other about 4 months into being s committed couple.  Conversation went something like "I want to Marry you" "good, cause I want to marry you too!"

We moved in together just a couple months later, I started pinteresting wedding ideas, and he started looking for rings.

The next spring we were ready to start planning wedding for real, talking with venues etc, and announced to family and friends at that time.
