Anyone had infertility work up?

Hi there! I'm 33 y.o. and my husband and I have been TTC #3 for a year now and have decided to go see a fertility specialist for an initial consult. We have two daughters who are 7 and almost 3, both took a long time to conceive as I have PCOS and need metformin and sometimes clomid to ovulate.

Anyone have experience with a fertility clinic? What types of evaluations might they do?

Really praying for a BFP soon, getting discouraged, multiple pregnancy announcements lately, including my bff who was only casually trying and got pregnant in 2 months.

I HATED my HSG.  If they have you do that test, have someone drive you.  Mine was painful.  Worth it to know the information though.

When we first went to our RE, they did a full blood work up. We also had an hsg test & sono done. Semen analysis for the guy is usually their first step.  Wishing you luck!

We've been ttc #2 for just over 2 yrs already have a 11 yr old from previous relationship. Had full bloods done, scans done hsg which showed a blocked left tube and now awaiting surgery next April to have it unblocked if that is unsuccessful then ivf

My husband and I have been ttc for about 2 years now and just went through all the testing with a specialist. I had a hsg and a bunch of blood work. He was fine but my prolactin is high. I had an MRI, no tumor and now I'm on medication for the prolactin and starting clomid next month 😏

Question for u since u mentioned u took metformin. Did metformin alone help you get pregnant? How long did you take it before it worked?
