Diva Cup, Menstrual Cup Users...let's talk about the details

Ok Diva Cup and other period cup users. I can not get over the fact that you will have to #1: remove a cup full of blood, clean it, #2: stick it up and remove it, and repeat.  Those hat swear by these cups and have converted other women, please explain in full detail your process. The good, the bad, and the ugly. I would really like to switch from pads to an alternative for a number of reasons...I am also considering getting SheThinkx, the period panties... However the same issue of cleaning the product haunts me. Please share and don't hold any details back!
