Mucus plug??

Question

I am 30 weeks today and just now I went to the bathroom and I think part of my mucus plug came out. It wasn't a lot but it was gelatin like with light blood mixed in. I haven't had any contractions or other signs of labor as of yet, I'm just worried I'll go into premature labor. My question is can I lose pieces of it and still carry to term?

I was losing mine for a whole day at 31 weeks then at 32 weeks went to labor and delivered.

Yes! I lost some of my mucus plug with my daughter around this time and carried her until 39 weeks. I have heard it regrows, and if it was only a small piece, I wouldn't be worried. But if you think there's an issue, you could always call your doctor just to be sure.
