implantation bleeding or period?

My husband and I are ttc. My period shouldn't have started until the 6th. But Thursday I noticed a little spotting and just thought my period had started a couple days early. I usually have cramping on the first day, but I didn't. And this isn't like a normal period. It's pretty much nothing. I've been using a panty liner but I could get away with not if I wanted to. Could this be implantation bleeding or just an abnormally light period. Also I've been having vaginal itching the last month. I thought I had a yeast infection so I called my doctor and she called me in a prescription. I took two doses of diflucan and nothing changed. So it wasn't a yeast infection. I've read itching could be a pregnancy symptom. What do y'all think?
