Taking mucinex to try and better cm. Opposite effect??

I'm so confused. Yesterday I had a Ton of watery cm. Been taking plain mucinex tablets to help better my amount of fertile cm. 4 days till I ovulate. But today I have no cm at. What's going on? I don't want to not ovulate properly. Ive only heard good stories about a ton of women getting pregnant with. Mucinex...

Any advice? Supposed to ovulate on the 9th
