Swelling in face normal???

Question

I'm 37+5 weeks and woke up with a swollen face and lips.  I was wondering if this is common and happens to a lot of women in late pregnancy?  Or is this a symptom of preeclampsia?  I didn't swell in my face with my first pregnancy.  My 38 week appointment is Tuesday so I'll ask my doctor then but was wondering if anyone else has experienced this! Thanks ladies!

Def don't wait til Tuesday, it could be pre-eclampsia, which would be very serious!

A rounder face is normal. Swelling is not. Call the doc.

Thanks y'all! I called and they said to just wait till my appointment Tuesday (tomorrow) so hopefully it's no biggie!  I appreciate the advice!

That is one of the symptoms of preeclampsia. I would call your doctor or labor and delivery.
