I didn't know I was in labour

I was 32 weeks pregnant and did not think I was in labour. On September 29th I started having really bad hip pain that would come and go. It would keep me up at night. Also that night I had stomach cramps that I thought were really bad hunger pains so I ate a lot of food and it went away. On October 1st the hip pain was getting worse, so I started timing it but they weren't consistent so I decided it wasn't labour. I was also talking to my mom and my sister about it. They kept saying it was siatic nerve or Braxton hicks. They told me to take baths and use a heating pad on my left side, I tried but it wasn't working. My mom at one point thought it could be labour but my sister was like she's just exaggerating. On October 2nd the pain was getting worse and way more frequent I wasn't sleeping because of the pain. I was staring to get nausea from the pain as well. At 9:00 that night I couldn't take it anymore so we called my mom she came and picked my husband and I up. The hospital that my doctor worked out was 30 minutes away, however since I was in so much pain we went to the one that was 5 minutes away. We get to the ER and the doctor and nurses were asking me all these questions and all I could think was I'm in pain find out what's wrong and fix it.. The ER Doctor decided I just had UTI but the nurse was like no she's in labour  we are sending her to labour and delivery. In my head I thought no I'm not your going to realize it's really no big deal. When I got to labour and delivery they checked me and I was dialated to a 8 and completely effaced. There was no time for a epidural which is what I wanted. Within a few minutes I was dilated to a 10 I couldn't push till the doctor got there, he had to break my water, within few pushes my sweet baby boy was born 7 weeks early at 10:28 pm.  Next time I'm making sure I go in when I have pain and also getting a epidural. He had to stay in the nicu for 3 weeks and 2 days. Hughston Lee Oldaker weighed 4 pounds 5 ounces 18 inches long now 5 pounds 12 ounces
