should I be jealous?
TL;DR: my boyfriend tells me to get over it when other girls hug him
---------------------------------------------------
My boyfriend is close to finishing his first semester of college in Texas while I go to school in Mississippi. I'm staying with him for two weeks before I go back. I would be staying and going to school here, except he doesn't want me to. He says he wants a year here by himself so he can get used to the place. So I'm going back to Mississippi. Don't like it, and he knows that, but I'm not going to force him. But due to problems in our past, both of us have some trouble trusting the other in certain situations. My biggest thing is with him being here, football player with a full ride, living it up and able to have almost any girl of his choosing so why would he stay celibate for me while I'm hundred of miles away. Added to the fact that he already has female friends here that run up and hug him. And he lets them. Even with me right beside him and even though he knows I don't like it. When I told him that I don't like it, he brushed it off and said that's high school shit then he laughed at me. And maybe it is high school stuff because the same crap happened there. Girls would hug him, I wouldn't like it, he would tell me it's no big deal then keep letting it happen. Am I wrong for not liking it? Can you honestly say that you would be ok if a girl, that you didn't know, came up all smiling and hugged your SO? Should I just bite my tongue and get over myself?
