soreness AND swelling

So me and my boyfriend haven't had sex in a month or so but we mess around once or twice a week. Last night he snuck over and we had sex and since it's usually a couple weeks to a month between when we have sex I was expecting soreness, but unlike other times I'm a bit swollen too. Normally I wouldn't do this but this has never happened and I don't know what to do. Any help ladies?
