husband getting on my last nerve
In the past couple weeks I've been trying to decide what to put on our baby registry (due March 10) and it's all a little overwhelming. I've been doing lots of research on what we need for baby, car seats and strollers in particular. As a FTM I am trying to learn all that I can. And my husband is about to drive me up the wall.
He refuses to talk about any of this. When I tried to show him different car seats online and explain to him different things to consider regarding each one, he just keeps saying he is going to put the kid in a box with a blanket and carry him home from the hospital. It makes me furious! He is obviously joking, but I have heard that line so many times I want to strangle him.
He also says similar things when I try to show him different cribs. I want to get the nursery started and for us to go shopping for cribs, and every single time he balks. We are looking at cribs in the range of $200, and every time I show him one online he goes, "$200!?!?" He has no hesitation on spending $60 on a video game, but spending money on a crib shocks him.
I guess I just needed to vent. I want him to be as excited as I am. I don't have any relatives or friends that live nearby to do these things with. I just want him to be excited and want to be involved. 😶
