Skipped periods--no sex??

Hey! So I started Jovillete birth control in July. In August my period was two weeks late and have had no period in September or October. I've spotted a few times but nothing major. I also haven't had sex so I'm not terribly worried about being pregnant--just don't know if something is wrong. Is this normal?
