Found out at 37+4 that I had pre-eclampsia and the hospital told me I was to stay in and I wouldn't be going home without a baby! So they started to induce me on that day Saturday 30th October, I had two sets of proplus, found out on the Monday 31st October that it had hardly worked, but they still made two attempts to break my waters, the second one worked though was extremely painful, then I got out on the drip, I was on that for 10hrs with contractions every 3mins and they checked my cervix and I still hadn't dilated more at all, so they had to give me an emergency c-section and half an hour later I was on the table, but the epidural had stopped working, so I had to go under general anaesthetic. Little did I know I was close to never waking back up, seeing my husband ever again or to meet my daughter! I passed one huge clot and had lots of clots left inside me, and even when I woke up I continued to pass the clots, loosing 40% of my blood volume, not knowing if I would need to be rushed back to theatre or have a blood transfusion I spent every moment looking at my newborn baby, knowing I couldn't go back under or I may never see her again. My body seemed to pull itself together and I actually got myself stable with no serious medical intervention. Stayed in hospital for another week with my little girl. It was one of the hardest weeks of my life, but my little girl is perfect! I am now home and on the mend, I know she got me through, I had to make it because I know my little girl needs her mummy! Still in lots of meds but I am home with my husband and baby and I could t be more greateful or lucky! The love for your child really is enough to pull you through anything! She was born on Tuesday 1st November at 7:58am weighing just a tiny 6lb 6oz of perfectness! I love my Edith 💗
