Help I'm having cramps!!!!

So I have an appointment today with my OB but last night I started getting sharp stabbing pain on just my left side. I do have a cyst on my ovary idk it that matters or not. But anyway when the pain comes so does the pain in my back the sharp pain doesn't last long but my back will hurt for at least 5 to 10 minutes. Has anyone else experienced something like this and what was wrong with you I'm starting to get worried.
