fever after shots?

Question

Did any of your baby's get fever after having their shots? Should I take my baby back to the clinic or a hospital if he gets a fever? Or should I give Tylenol and wait to see if it goes down? Or bathe him? FTM and my baby just got his shots and I don't know what to expect.

it's normal if they have a mild fever, no need for any medication because that's what the body is supposed to do, fight off the virus.

Do your research before giving Tylenol! It can actually make the body not produce enough antibodies. According to what I read multiple places, you shouldn't give it unless.the temp is really high (101-102) and even then call the doctor first.

My daughter had a mild fever for 2 days after her 2 month shots. I gave half dose of Tylenol as needed, per doctor, and it helped a ton. Also made her a bit sleepier so she got some good naps.

Is normar for a baby to get a fever sfter their shots. You can give the baby Tylenol if the baby has a fever of 100.4 or higher. Just ask your doctor how much you should give the baby because it depends on the baby's weight  the amount of Tylenol giving.. My baby just got hers a week  ago and the doctor gave her Tylenol. I just gave it to her one bc she didn't really get a fever.

Mine just had hers and I didn't suspect her acting any different so I didn't monitor any temperature she seemed just fine ...however they did say it can happen and told me Tylenol if so...and if I had any ?s just call the dr.!
